New traces of a surveillance society manifest amidst the issue of global security. Recognize these traces as "surveillance" moves closer.
Many states find surveillance is a solution to decrease the crime rates in cities. Many believe that putting the entire community under surveillance can finally address peace and order in a manageable and a substantial way. As a result, we can now see CCTV cameras installed in stores, malls, parks, stop lights and residential places.
The surveillance society has penetrated people’s awareness since its inception. Its idea can now be seen extending in motion pictures and many forms of media. Some states have already initiated moves to intensify surveillance powers, saying "human security" is their main concern.
